Welfare Benefits Caseworker

Citizens Advice Northumberland offers free and confidential advice online, over the phone and in person. We give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.

Our service supports people who face every kind of barrier and challenge to social and/or financial inclusion, and we help them to find the solution to their issue(s) and to find a way forward that works for them.

Citizens Advice Northumberland is at an exciting time in its history as we come through the Covid19 pandemic having supported over 20,000 Northumberland residents. Our service is never more needed than now and as a result, we have created a new division housing all of our welfare benefits services.

We are looking to recruit a Welfare Benefits Caseworker to provide a high quality advice and casework service in welfare benefits through face to face, telephone and digital channels including representation.

Salary:                     £19,733 – £24,667 pro rata depending on experience

Hours:                     As part of our commitment to being a flexible employer,
applications are welcomed from candidates 
who are able to offer up to 37 hours a week.

Location:                You will have an office base but will be expected to
travel across Northumberland dependent on need.
