DESCRIPTION:Mortal Fools are excited to be running a young people’s employability day in September supported by Asda Foundation! CONNECT: Creative Futures Saturday 14th September\, 10am-4.30pm (arrivals from 9.30am) YMCA NorthumberlandA FREE and fun day for young people aged 14-18years old with creative learning company Mortal Fools\, using creativity to enhance employability\, boost confidence and to explore their future.Across the day: Use the theme “Looking to the future” to explore aspirations\, ambitions and careers Engage in confidence building practical training activities designed to explore strengths\, life goals\, passions and new skills Develop communication skills and confidence in your own voice Work as a team across the day building teamwork skills supported by Mortal Fools practitioners Play drama games\, have fun and get to know other young people Work with professional animator Lily Mae Kroese during a guest artist workshop to express yourself through creativity and have a go at animation Explore creative tasks using music making\, drama\, writing and spoken word Chat to professional creatives about their journey into the creative industriesFree to attend – sign up is essential.Lunch provided. Sign up via: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/6386769
