Trauma informed mindfulness for professionals: using mindfulness to support people who have experienced sexual violence

Venue: In-person central Newcastle

Duration: 6.5 hours

Date/Time: 10am-4.30pm Tuesday 3rd February

This training explores what is meant when we refer to Mindfulness and how traditional Mindfulness methods can be triggering for survivors of sexual violence.

This training also introduces the subject of sexual violence, focussing on the meaning, impact and prevalence. We will also provide a sound understanding of how to use Mindfulness within your own practice.

We developed our specialist Mindfulness for Survivors Toolkit alongside a group of survivors of sexual violence and Mindful Therapies. You will learn and practice some of the exercises from our Mindfulness for Survivors Toolkit.

All learners will receive an interactive E-Copy of the Toolkit as a resource for working with clients.

Learners can purchase hard copies of our Toolkit from our shop here or via invoice. Mindfulness for Survivors – Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland
