People’s Powerhouse is a North-based organisation working to strengthen the connection between people and power. We create spaces where lived experience, local insight and evidence can meaningfully shape decisions that affect everyday life — particularly across Northern places.
These events form part of our Community Wells webinar series: a programme of open conversations with thinkers, practitioners and leaders exploring what helps people and places to live well, thrive and lead change from the ground up. The series is designed to be practical, reflective and accessible – supporting healthier, fairer and more democratic approaches to place and policy.
What does it really take to live well?
In conversation with Sir Michael Marmot
19 February 2026 | 3.30–4.30pm | Online
Sir Michael Marmot reflects on a lifetime of research into health inequalities and the social conditions that shape our lives. The conversation will explore how dignity, wellbeing and agency can be embedded into local and regional decision-making — and what gives hope when communities and places choose to do things differently.
