In early 2026, Carents.co.uk surveyed 4,293 adults caring for an ageing parent or elderly relative to capture the lived experience of carenting in Britain today. This report presents the realities for those grappling with this life stage and the attitudes that shape the support available to them.
In this report, Carents.co.uk has presented the lived experiences of 2,016 dementia carents across the UK. These insights were gathered as part of a wider survey, “Carents’ Social Attitudes to Carenting” which captured the lived experiences of over 4,000 adults who provide care for an ageing parent or loved one.

The Health Improvement (HIMP) Training Programme from NCC gives details of current training courses, providing specialist health improvement support and training to local organisations and individuals in Northumberland, with the aim of reducing health inequalities and improving the health and wellbeing of the community.
This report provides clear indications of the scale of impact that the third sector delivers through its work and makes plausible estimates on the value of that work
Youth Matters: Your National Youth Strategy sets out how the government will work together with partners to respond to young peoples’ priorities over the next decade. It has been co-produced with more than 14,000 young people aged 10 to 21 (and those with SEN/D up to age 25) across England.
Every two years, Social Enterprise UK publish their State of Social Enterprise Report, which provides the clearest picture of how social enterprises are doing. The latest report, titled ‘Backbone of Britain’, surveyed nearly 2,000 businesses to assess how they are performing financially and looks in depth at who they employ, where they work, their missions, and the major challenges they face.

Northern Cancer Voices are seeking feedback from anyone who has had a cancer diagnosis to share feedback on their experience (this is different to any complaints or issues that are referred to PALS). This feedback is used to improve cancer services and care and also identify what works well.

Choppington Disability Group is a support network to give a voice to disabled people and carers from the Choppington area
The Missing Lynx Project is a partnership project investigating the possibility of reintroducing lynx to England.
This is different from our monthly report in that it takes a longer-term view of our work, with the aim of identifying any trends that may be developing, as opposed to the ‘snap shots’ in the monthly reports
This project, commissioned by the Environment Agency and Natural England through the Nature Returns programme, aims to map and connect people and organisations with an interest in protecting nature and helping more people benefit from access to green and blue spaces along the River Wansbeck in Northumberland. We are asking communities, land owners, businesses, public and voluntary organisations how they would like to engage with these spaces and help protect the natural environment in future. The courses are free of charge and open to everyone 16 years or older. There is no upper age limit. All the courses are for a 6 week duration and run on a weekly basis. All the details are in the attached brochure.
