Are you excited by the idea of shaping a new role from the ground up? Do you want to use your skills in data and digital innovation to drive change? We’re looking for a pioneering and creative thinker to become our first Data and Digital Innovation Officer.
This is a brand-new position for us and a chance for you to help define how data and technology can power smarter, faster, more impactful services across Citizens Advice Northumberland. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll lead on turning insight into action, and ideas into tools that can make a real difference.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop how we use data and digital tools across the organisation.
- Turn complex data into clear, actionable insight that can drive decision-making and funding bids.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new technology, platforms or processes that boost efficiency and reduce duplication.
- Lead pilots to test and embed new digital solutions.
- Act as a digital change-maker, supporting staff and bringing energy to transformation efforts.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong skills in data systems, analysis, and visualisation.
- Is confident using and exploring digital platforms like Google Workspace, Looker Studio and emerging cloud-based tools.
- Loves learning new tech and experimenting with ways it can improve services.
- Has an interest in AI and its application uses in a structured and safe way.
- Is a team player who can explain complex ideas in a simple, engaging way to bring people on board.
- Wants to use their skills to deliver meaningful social impact.

Vacancy Details
Salary: £24,783 – £29,381 pro rata depending on previous experience
Hours: As part of our commitment to being a flexible employer, applications are welcomed from candidates who are able to offer anything up to 37 hours a week.
Location: Ashington
