General Maintenance and Handyperson
We’re looking for a practical, hands-on person to join our team as a General Maintenance and Handyperson.
In this role, you’ll help keep our buildings safe, functional, and welcoming for our staff, volunteers, and clients. You’ll carry out general repairs, routine maintenance, and small refurbishments across our sites – from fixing a leaky tap to giving a room a fresh coat of paint.
You’ll take a proactive approach to spotting and solving maintenance issues, and help deliver a rolling programme of upkeep and small improvements.
This is a flexible, rewarding role where no two days are quite the same!
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Practical and reliable
- Able to turn their hand to a variety of maintenance jobs
- Happy to travel between sites in Northumberland
- Comfortable working independently and using their initiative.

Vacancy Details
Salary: £24,242.40 pro rata
Hours: Part Time (up to 2 days per week)
Location: Mobile across sites in Northumberland but with a base in Ashington.
