Wansbeck Square is being redeveloped to provide a new community facility and public space, next to Ashington Station in the heart of the town. It will offer community, cultural, learning and youth services and plans currently include an auditorium as a new venue for residents and visitors. The building will be constructed from next year and is projected to open to the public in late 2026.
A market engagement questionnaire has been developed to set out the potential opportunity to become Northumberland County Council’s long-term operating partner and gauge views about the planned facility and the services we want to contract. This will help us to assess levels of interest from suppliers, shape the final the tender pack and promote this unique contract to maximise interest.
